whoops I forgot to make a post last week. I hope all is well in this sweltering heat, I know it definitely effect the way I am farming. I make stabs at chores and work late in the day to escape the hottest part. With that in mind things are growing well, this week is the big garlic dig. In the end we should have about 1600 garlic bulbs hung and curing from the rafters of the second floor of my barn. Aside from garlic we will be planting a bunch of fall crops(cabbage, broccoli, beets, Kale) to be ready for septemberish. remember due to the holiday the wed porch pick up will move to tuesday evening so I can take a much needed respite on wednesday.
in your share:
lettuce
green beans
yellow squash
fresh red onions
new garlic (this will not be cured so keep it in the fridge until fully used)
broccoli’s last stand
basil bouquet
perhaps a bonus tomato (there coming fast)
