Late Winter 2019

First I need to acknowledge my failure to keep up with last years posts.  Chalk that one up to spring optimism.  I’ll try a little harder this season.

I do believe in climate change and am appalled by all the signs and signals on the evening news that mother nature is pissed.  I say this because we just experienced one man-made weather event with temperatures the coldest that I can remember; the polar vortex was real and explained by fact based science.  I grow in the winter mainly to sell at the winter market.  Thanks to a grant from NRCS I put up another 30’x72′ high tunnel this last fall I’m pulling plenty of spinach, arugula, and lettuce out of there. all of which survived the freezing temperatures.

Alas we come to a 50 degree turn around for me to step down from my soapbox and say that I am excited and looking forward to the 2019 growing season.  My CSA marketing push is beginning and all my seeds are here and ready to be sown.  So check out the CSA tab for info about this years shares.
